Every product below is screened, weed-seed managed and sold by the cubic yard — one yard covers about 160 sq ft at a 2" depth. What changes is what it does for the bed: soils feed and rebuild, mulches hold moisture and suppress weeds. We'll measure your beds and recommend the right blend and depth.
Most popular soilEqual parts screened topsoil, compost and peat. Light enough for roots to push through, rich enough to plant straight into — the default for new garden beds, raised boxes and bed top-ups.
Bulk fillNative loam screened to remove stone, root and debris. The economical choice for levelling low spots, filling grade before sod and building up large areas where nutrition matters less than volume.
Soil boosterFully finished organic matter, dark and crumbly. Worked into tired clay it opens structure and feeds soil biology. Best blended into existing soil at 25–30 percent rather than planted into on its own.
Lawn repairA fine sand-and-loam blend spread ¼–½" over turf after aeration or overseeding. It levels bumps, improves drainage on heavy Peel and Halton clay, and works down without smothering the grass.
Natural finishShredded cedar with a warm reddish tone and a clean scent. Naturally rot- and insect-resistant, so it holds colour and structure longer than most bark and knits together well on gentle slopes.
Bold contrastShredded hardwood coloured with iron-oxide dye. Makes green foliage and light stone pop and gives beds a crisp, modern edge. Colour holds a full season; expect a refresh each spring.
